Erika Wright created these bars out of simple necessity. After reading David Wolf’s book Superfoods: The Food and Medicine of the Future, I imagined that a lot of the foods he had researched would go together very well and the first SupahStah Dark Chocolate Superfood bar was born.
Erika began making the bars for her husband and herself. They would often eat them for breakfast, before yoga or a run. The results were obvious and instant. They found More energy AND so much delight that came from eating something so YUMMY! Erika started making them for friends and clients and the rest is history.

Jade Brunelli offers tea ceremonies in retreats/gatherings/workshops. A beautiful experience of collaboration. She serves the tea found during trips with tea mentors, tea growers and tea masters in Asia. It is served quietly, in the form of a meditation, inspired by zen buddhism. Typically pu-erh tea is served, which is very grounding, calming and rooting.
Tea (“Cha” in Mandarin) is an ancient medicinal beverage consisting of water poured over the leaves/buds of a sacred plant native of Asia named Camellia Sinensis. She is a spirit teacher offered to us by mother earth and has inspired the Taoists and Sages for health, longevity and meditation. When Tea meets us, we find ourself completely present in the moment, in harmony, connected with the environment. We are transported into blissful presence, our senses are fully awake and our mind clearer. Her leaves wash away our Ego, and bring us into a state of communion and wisdom.
Jade was honoured to meet the mother Camellia sinensis in her native land, southern of China, and taste her medicine directly from where she grows, where she breathes. She put her on the path of the most precious leaves, and introduced her to Pu-Erh, oolong, red, white and green cha. She became a student of the leaves.

End of Summer
A teenage girls photography exhibit.
Call for entries ends August 18th. Send all entries to firstname.lastname@example.org
Basically it all started when Family Circle Magazine asked me to photograph Amy & Julie along with their teenage daughter Cleo. Coincidentally they were also my neighbors. Small world huh?
The shoot went swimmingly and Cleo the shutterbug agreed to intern for me over the summer. As both a thank you and celebration of all the fabulously talented teenage girl photographers, we are having an End of Summer photography exhibit at The Native Daughter.
Curated by: Cleo, Sidney & Phoebe.
Social Print Studio is so rad to donate their awesome square prints for this exhibition. Thanks you beautiful folks! If you don't know them well then hurry up and check them out HERE. We all need to get them out of our phones and onto our walls. Their giant photo strips rock!

Brockmeyer graduated from the SAIC in 2010. She has since utilized her skills in multi-mediums to make a vast portfolio of work. Her sketch book has complex natural landscapes stripped down to geometric shapes and block-like patterns. She attempts to capture the gesture and feel in her quick sketch book studies, that way when she is back in her studio she has a basic composition worked out and is ready to elaborate with color and scale. Her goal is to emulate the natural worlds ease to create beauty. Shapes and compositions stay with her– in her minds eye– and she tries to capture those imprints into her art work.
While a student at SAIC Brockmeyer apprenticed with a husband and wife team in LaPorte Indiana. There she learned the Art of paper-making and printing and dabbled in ceramics. This basic process, where paper made from scratch is sourced within 100ft of her and unfolded over a 24 hour period, resonated with her. While revisiting papermaking and natural fibers Brockmeyer’s recent works of landscape paintings organically meld with paper making textures to reflect these seemingly dissonant processes into a unique and organic artistic perspective all her own.
